IR Headphones for Car DVDs SIMOLIO IR headphones are compatible with most car DVD systems. To confirm compatibility, please check the "Have a question?/Customer questions (& answers)" section, where compatible models are listed. If your car model is not listed, please refer to your DVD manual or consult the car manufacturer to verify the IR sensor frequencies.

SIMOLIO IR headphones are designed for in-car DVDs that use the universal infrared frequency (Channel A: L/2.3MHZ,R/2.8MHZ; Channel B: L/3.2MHZ,R/3.8MHZ). They are not compatible with DVDs that use original digital IR or Bluetooth technology. If you experience issues with non-universal DVDs, such as no sound, one-sided sound, or intermittent sound, you can turn off the infrared function and purchase a SIMOLIO IR transmitter (SM-264D or SM-261A) to connect with the headphones.

For Bluetooth-enabled DVDs, consider our compatible Bluetooth headsets, such as the JH-711 or JH-712.

Please note the IR transmitting angle and distance. Sound may be cracked if too far away or not in sight of the IR transmitter (DVD), which is a limitation of the IR system, not the product itself.

Headphone Features and Usage Tips - Use 2×AAA premium alkaline batteries and ensure they are inserted properly. - Adjust the volume on both the DVD player and the headphones to a sufficient level. - Try both channels on the headphones, as your vehicle may be transmitting on either channel A or B. - If kids watch different movies on two DVDs, set each DVD on a different channel and the headphone to the channel of the DVD they want to listen to. - For a ceiling/roof-mounted DVD player, we suggest using channel A for both the DVD and headphone, which may have better performance than channel B. - For toddlers or those who find the headphones too big, use the included adjustable headbands to ensure a snug fit.
